Automatic or remote operation:  The vacuum will automatically shut off once it is full (approximately 25-40 seconds of vacuuming) and drain itself in 20-30 seconds.  It will restart automatically once empty.  You can also set your vacuum to operate by remote control which allows you to turn the vacuum on/off as you desire with the hand held remote control.
