We carry  many different types of filters and UV's. Some filters will do both solids filtration and bio-filtering while other filters are designed to do one or the other. It is recommended that you oversize your filter and UV slightly to avoid excessive cleaning.
We also carry several medias used to make your own filters or to replace worn out medias in existing filters.

Hozelock Cyprio Filters:   

Bioforce filters have superbly engineered filters designed for pond keepers who want simplicity,
clear water, and an attractive filter system that’s easy to hide.
• Bioforce filters can be buried up to their lids

Ultraviolet sterilization is a proven, dependable and effective method for controlling and eradicating algae spores, bacteria and protozoa present in the water source. Ultraviolet alters or disrupts the DNA and RNA of target organisms. By properly implementing an Aqua Ultraviolet™ disinfection system in-line, the targeted organisms can be eradicated effectively without any harmful residuals.

UV sterilizers pass the water by the bulb slower for a more complete kill. UV clarifier passes the water through faster and will still kill all algae cells but may not kill all types of bacteria or virus in the water.

Aqua Ultraviolet offers UV’s with wiper options. The wiper is a fast, easy way to clean scale build up from the quartz sleeve. If not cleaned, the buildup on the quartz sleeve will restrict the brightness of the bulb and become less effective. The wiper option is a cleaning ring around the sleeve connected to a handle going to the outside of the UV. By simply pulling the handle back and forth a few times you can clean the quartz sleeve without the disassembling the UV. All parts and performance information are the same as the regular UV’s above.

Filter Media:

Solids Filter Material
PFM1 :This our lowest cost filter material. The bonded material is very soft and easily cut to shape. Designed as replacement material in aquarium and small garden pond filters, this material can be washed and reused. Typical life expectancy would be one season. Filter
media is actually two pieces of media bonded together, one side is blue and the other is white. Full rolls of material can be shipped UPS. 

PFM3 :is a polyester filter material that is very durable. Medium density for filtering fine particles. This material is ideal as replacement filter pads in many brands of small pumps, especially pumps with fountain nozzles where plugging is a concern. Can be easily cut to fit. Maximum
UPS-able piece - 11 yards.

PFM4: is a coarse filter material that has a high surface area for mechanical as well as biological filtration. The coarse design allows for high flows of water and yet a large surface area is available due to the honey combed design of the material. Can be washed and reused over and over! Maximum UPS-able roll 11 yards. 

PFM5: filter material is a 2" thick polyester material that can be washed over and over. We use this material in all sizes of our Aquafalls filters as well as our PS1V and PS2V skimmers.
The open weave allows for high water flow without clogging. Available in 28" wide rolls by the yard or full roll or in a 56" wide master roll in full roll (30 yard) lengths. Maximum UPS-able roll of 28" wide is five yds.

Bio-Blox filter media: is an ultra high surface area media that is created from a variety of different filter thicknesses and densities. Bio-Blox is a loose fill media that is inexpensive and ideal for filling large filters. Use our MB18 or MB22 Mesh Bags to hold Bio-Blox for easy handling. Approximately 525 sq. ft. of surface area per cu. ft. Sold by the cu. ft. or in 24 cu. ft. Gaylord boxes.

BIO-BALLS: This loose plastic media will form to any shape and is hard so it will not compact. Ideal for deep applications where compaction is a concern. Bio-Balls are buoyant so trickle filter applications are best. Bio-Balls are 11/2" in diameter. One gallon size container is ideal for retailers wanting replacement media for small underwater filters.

Filter Floss Filter Media: is ribbon type material commonly used in our Aquafalls pond filters in place of lava rock. Pond owners have found that Filter Floss is better than lava rock since lava rock is high in mineral content and is very heavy. Filter Floss is a flat strapping that is embossed on both sides creating additional surface area for bacteria. Filter Floss Media is lightweight, will last indefinitely and has no effect on water quality. Pond builders installing our Aquafalls filters will find it easy to convince customers to upgrade to this media since each media bag in the filter will weigh only 4 lbs. instead of 40 lbs. if filled with lava rock! This makes cleaning much easier!

Ultra Bio-Media: is a sinking media with a very high biofilm surface that is many times greater than other plastic media, such as bio balls, various mats and foams, beads, ribbon & brush type media, etc. Superior bacterial adhesion and colonization is achieved due to the surface texture and grade of plastic used. Under a patent pending process, Ultra Bio- Media is seeded with bacteria and barley to kick start the nitrification process and to contribute to the control of string algae. Premier choice for any biological application. Approximately 500 square feet surface area per cubic foot! Ultra Bio-Media weighs approx. 8# per cu. ft. Media is sold and packaged by weight. Settling may occur in shipping. Ultra Bio-Media can be purchased by the cu. ft. or bulk packed in 28 cu. ft. Gaylord boxes. Dealers are welcome to repackage bulk material.
