A pond is a great feature to have in your yard, but as you probable already know they can be a little tricky to keep clean and looking beautiful.
One problem that pond owners experience is bottom sludge or muck, and we have a solution for you.  
Pond-Vive Bacteria is a natural, biological way to get ride of bottom sludge. Not only does it get rid of sludge it also improves water clarity, eliminates excess nutrients, eliminates pond odors and reduces oxygen demand. 
Pond-Vive is a form of bacteria that you find in your pond naturally and by adding it to the pond in higher rates decomposition of the sludge is sped up.
Sludge comes from years of dead weeds, leaves and other organics, leaving to much of this in your pond may cause odor, lower oxygen levels, higher nutrient level which weeds and algae thrive on.  So you can see the need to get rid of the sludge.
Ponds treated with Pond-Vive are typically treated every two weeks.  Ponds that are really dirty can be treated more often, or at a higher dose to speed up the cleaning process without any threat to fish or other aquatic life.

Pond-Vive come in two forms: 8 oz. water soluble bags or a 25 lb. bulk pail.
Bacteria should only be used when water temperature is above 55 degrees F.
Ponds treated with Pond-Vive are treated based on surface size and not depth.  Because the bacteria works along the bottom of the pond the depth does not matter.

We recommend using 12 pounds per acre (or 24 eight oz. bags) and a maintenance dose every two weeks after of 6 pound per acre (or 12 eight oz. bags).
