Pump Care During Winter – Where is your pump?
Dec 11th, 2008 by Pond Warehouse
By the time you have snow and ice – it’s time to pull you submersible pond pump.
The best way to care for your pump this winter is to clean off any lime and debris and set it in a bucket of water placed somewhere that wont freeze. Keeping the pump in water keeps your seals moist just like they were during the regular season.
If your pump is already pulled and just setting in the garage or basement – it’s not too late, do yourself a favor and prevent costly repair or replacement by taking a few moments to clean it and store it in a bucket of water. Have a great winter. Is it spring yet?
